Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Build the workflows that tax consultants and REIT tax directors depend on during appeal season: notice ingestion, the evidence packet builder, county petition forms and the deadline calendar. You will own features from the database schema to the last pixel.

What you will do

  • Design and ship features end to end in a multi-tenant TypeScript, React and PostgreSQL codebase, from schema and API to interface and tests.
  • Build and maintain the petition engine that fills official county forms, such as Texas Form 50-132 and Florida Form DR-486, and assembles the 20-page evidence binder.
  • Extend the per-tenant isolation layer that keeps one customer's rent rolls and operating statements invisible to every other customer.
  • Build importers for rent roll and operating statement exports from property management and accounting systems.
  • Work with the jurisdiction research team to encode statutory deadlines, form rules and evidence requirements as tested, versioned data.
  • Review code, mentor engineers and take a share of the on-call rotation during the Texas, Cook County and Florida filing windows.

What you bring

  • 6 or more years building production web software, with at least 2 years on a multi-tenant SaaS product.
  • Strong TypeScript and React, a backend language you know well, and solid SQL and schema design in PostgreSQL.
  • A habit of writing tests first for logic that must be right, such as money, dates and statutory rules.
  • Clear written English and comfort working with a few hours of overlap with US Central time each week.

Nice to have

  • Experience generating or populating PDFs and complex forms.
  • Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code.
  • Prior work in proptech, tax, accounting or another domain where an error costs the customer real money.
  • Experience building accessible interfaces to WCAG 2.1 AA.
