How it works

ATTOM aggregates assessor, recorder and tax records across US counties and publishes them through a documented REST Property API. ATALI ELECTRIC calls that API with the key from your ATTOM account to fill parcel records, cross-check the values on the assessment notice, and pull recorded sales for comparable searches and transfer history.

Requests go to ATTOM's property, assessment, assessment history, sale, sales history and building permit resources, with your key sent in the APIKey header. Results land in the parcel record with an ATTOM source tag and retrieval date. Where ATTOM, the county record and your notice disagree, the difference is flagged for the analyst instead of being overwritten.

Data flows

  • Parcel characteristics InboundFrom /property/detail: APN, county FIPS code, year built, building area and lot size for the subject and candidate comparables.
  • Assessment and tax InboundFrom /assessment/detail: assessed and market values for land and improvements, the last tax amount and the tax year.
  • Assessment history InboundFrom /assessmenthistory/detail: prior-year values used for the assessment trend chart in the binder.
  • Recorded sales InboundFrom /sale/detail and /saleshistory/detail: the subject's transfer history and recorded sales for comparable searches.
  • Building permits InboundFrom /property/buildingpermits: recent permitted work, used to support or rebut condition and effective age assumptions.

Set up in 5 steps

  1. 1Obtain an API key from your ATTOM account.
  2. 2Enter the key under Settings, Integrations, ATTOM. It is stored encrypted with AES-256 and never displayed in full again.
  3. 3Choose which resources to call: property, assessment, assessment history, sales and permits.
  4. 4Run a test lookup on a parcel you know to confirm coverage in your counties.
  5. 5Turn on automatic enrichment for newly created parcels.
